What a Dermal Lens system actually is

It is a hair system — real human hair hand-tied into a thin, breathable base that sits against the scalp and integrates with your existing hair. It is a salon service, not a device or a drug. Nothing is injected, implanted, or prescribed.

Matched to your hair

We select hair to match your color, texture, wave pattern, and density, so the added fullness reads as part of what is already there rather than sitting on top of it.

Thin, breathable base

The base is ultra-thin so it lies flat and lets your scalp breathe. It is fitted to the shape of your head rather than pulled from a stock size.

Cut and styled on you

The system is finished the way any haircut is finished — on your head, in the chair, blended into your own hairline and styled the way you actually wear your hair.

Built for real life

Designed to stay secure through exercise, swimming, and showering when you keep to the maintenance schedule your stylist sets with you.

Non-surgical

No incisions, no anesthesia, no recovery period. You come in with an appointment and leave with your hair cut and styled.

Men and women

We fit systems for a widening part, a receding hairline, thinning at the crown, or overall loss of density — and design around the style you want to wear.

How it works

Four steps, starting with a conversation that costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Free consultation

We look at your hair, talk through what you want to change, and show you what a system looks and feels like in person. You leave with a written quote and a maintenance schedule — no obligation.

Custom order

We take a template of your head and specify the hair, base, density, and hairline. Your system is made to those specifications rather than pulled off a shelf.

Fitting appointment

Your stylist applies the system, blends it with your existing hair, then cuts and styles it. You see the finished result the same day, in the chair.

Ongoing maintenance

You come back on a regular schedule so the system can be removed, cleaned, reattached, and re-cut as your own hair grows. We show you the at-home routine before you leave.

Hear it from clients

People who wear a Dermal Lens system, on what the process was like and what they were worried about beforehand.

A client on what the first appointment was like.
On living with a system day to day.
On the maintenance routine.
On deciding to finally do something about it.

In their own words

“My biggest concern was that it would look like I was wearing a hairpiece. The first time I saw myself after the Dermal Lens was cut and styled, I could not see where my own hair ended and the new hair began. The color, texture, and hairline were exactly right.”

Andrew

“I work out several times a week, sweat heavily, shower normally, and spend a lot of time outdoors. I was nervous that I would always be wondering whether my hair was secure. Once I got comfortable with the maintenance routine, that worry disappeared.”

Darrin

“Before Dermal Lens, I was constantly arranging my hair to hide the widening part. HRI matched the color and movement of my existing hair so well that the added fullness looks like it belongs there. I can go outside when it is windy and take pictures without worrying.”

Pamela

Testimonials reflect the experience of individual clients and are not a promise of any particular outcome. How well a system blends, how it feels, and how long it lasts vary with hair type, lifestyle, and how closely the maintenance schedule is followed.

Common questions

Will people be able to tell?

That is the question almost everyone opens with. A system is matched to your color, texture, and density, then cut and styled into your own hairline, which is what makes it read as your hair rather than as a piece. How well it blends depends on your hair type, the density you choose, and how consistently it is maintained — and we will tell you honestly at your consultation what to expect for your specific hair.

Can I work out, swim, and shower normally?

Yes. The system is designed to stay secure through normal daily activity, including exercise and swimming, as long as you keep to the maintenance schedule. Your stylist will walk you through the at-home routine — how to wash it, how to dry it, and what to avoid.

How long does a system last, and what is the upkeep?

Most clients come in on a regular cycle to have the system removed, cleaned, reattached, and re-cut as their own hair grows. How long an individual system lasts before replacement varies with hair type, activity level, and care. You will get a realistic range and the maintenance cost in writing at your consultation, before you commit to anything.

What does it cost?

It depends on the size of the area being covered, the hair and base you choose, and your maintenance schedule. Programs start at $299 per month with approved financing. Because those variables differ for everyone, we do not quote a price over the phone — you will get a written quote at your free consultation, with no obligation to move forward.

Is this surgery?

No. A hair system is a cosmetic salon service. Nothing is implanted, injected, or prescribed, there is no anesthesia, and there is no recovery period. It is applied, cut, and styled in a stylist's chair.
